Corona Associates Capital Management, LLC is the Fund Management Company overseeing the investment portfolio of Antilles Capital Master Fund, LP and its affiliated domestic and foreign feeder funds.
The Antilles Capital Master Fund, LP is a discretionary global macro long/short hedge fund seeking absolute returns, with a core strategy focused on precious metals, global mining equities, interest rate sensitive sectors, credit, currency and derivatives within a value investing framework.
Corona’s founding partner, John Scurci, set the highest one-year-return in the HISTORY of hedge funds, producing a 2,080% return in 1999.
Upon reflection after managing money for over 30 years, John realized he (along with his peers) had never studied the history of money and credit. After successfully foreseeing and profiting from the financial crisis of 2008, John concluded that the next asymmetric investment opportunity would be presented by the failure of the unconventional and unprecedented monetary policies of global central banks.
John believes there is an opportunity today for an outsized investment return related to money and credit that few understand.
This opportunity brought John out of retirement to build a boutique investment fund. As a trained and active value investor, John was attracted to gold and precious metals from a valuation perspective, and as a core asset around which an investment fund could be built. While precious metals play a central role in the investment thesis, the Fund consists of a diversified portfolio of global equites, commodities, currencies and derivatives that are identified and selected through fundamental analysis within the portfolio manager’s global macro framework. The Corona team is personally invested in the fund and is excited to offer this opportunity to accredited investors.
